What matters most in Fundraising? Is it Funds raised or the list of donors?
We think it is the list of donors, because that’s the source of subsequent donations. Unfortunately, most fundraising organizations do not keep their donor lists in healthy condition and the select few who do a good job keeping their lists clean don’t really communicate to the donors except for asking for more money.
Today technology has made it extremely easy for the organization to stay connected with the donors and keep them abreast of developments at the organization. Our state of the art technology allows you to build a donor community or donor lounge where the donors can see their donations at work and show off their own private donor page to their friends and relatives. If you have fund raising events like a walk, rally, marathon or triathlon we can create a page for each participating fundraiser so they can collect the pledge and donations online right on their own home page using our shared PURL technology.
If you have events like Gala dinner or entertainment events like a concert, gathering data can be difficult. You receive one large check from a company to buy a table but the attendees who come to your events are prospective donors too. We can set up a personalized page on the web where the event attendees can visit to download their own photographs taken by your professional photographer. Just give them a sequentially numbered card and have them visit the event web page after the event. When they visit the event web page, they will be asked to enter their invitation number, share their name & email address so they can access the picture gallery. Offer to print professional quality photographs and send it to their home address along with information about your organization & its worthy cause.
If you are a pediatric hospital, consider throwing a ‘going home party’ for your brave little souls who are going home after fighting for survival. The grateful parents will invite their close relatives, the grandparents, the god parents, the colleagues from work, uncles, aunts and other people who are close to the child. Everyone has been anxious and worried. Now at the party right at the hospital the family & friends can shake hands with the attending physicians, the lead nurse and the team that took care of the child and people from the foundation.
